my summer is flying by... it's hard to believe in a month I'll be heading to St.Joseph's College, 5 hours away from here! I'm really excited but nervous at the same time. I feel a little better knowing my roomate ahead of time! And I know her and I will have a blast in our ity bity dorm room! If you would have asked me a year ago if I was excited to leave aroostook county I would have responded "I can't wait to get the hell out of here." but the past year has made me realize how lucky I've been to grow up here and all the people that I've grown close to that are going to be hard to leave... don't get me wrong ... I still want to leave *hehe* lets see sooo this is a summary of my summer... * working at good old Houlton Farms Dairy * hanging out with the fabulous scurvy * been in a few parades :) * prepared for potato blossom non-stop for a month and a half * became the new Maine Potato Queen 2007 * have been trying to work out daily (hmph... trying the key word) * spending some time at the lake (yay) * had summer skating & taught my first ever adult class * missed cheering alot sooo that's it the rest of the summer holds... * going to the lake all this week * going to the fair * caribou cares activities * coronation of the new queen * working still * going on a shopping spree w/ Beth, her friend & scurv * and saying goodbye to everyone I love and heading off to college life is changing before my eyes and in a way i love and hate it xoxo KATIE |
